  • Thank you for continuing to participate in the Community Conversations regarding the consolidation of school facilities effective September, 2017.

Over the last six months, we presented an abundance of information regarding the needs and possibilities of consolidation. We held multiple hearings that were very well attended by the community.

We asked and listened to your concerns and will provide all the information gathered from the multiple hearings to the South Whidbey School Board.

The Board discussed the need to make a decision sooner to allow more time for transition activities. The new timeline will provide more time to staff, students and families to make any changes happen effectively.

They will hold a workshop discussion on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 6:30pm in the South Whidbey Elementary School Community Room.

On Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 6:30pm the Board will hold a hearing in the South Whidbey Elementary School Community Room and make its decision as to consolidation.

Thank you for your contributions. Please make sure to attend these important meetings.

Superintendent's Slides from the Community Forums are linked and below in the Future Planning for the District
