What is Family Access? Family Access is a web module which provides a way for parents/guardians to access specific information about their student(s) in South Whidbey School District. Family Access provides online access to attendance, scheduling, grading and general student information. This is a new service the district will be piloting during 2006-2007 with full implementation planned for the 2007-2008 school year.
Student Access is also possible with the same system. Students at the high school or middle school can request an account to allow them to view their grade and attendance information online.
How do I use Family Access / Student Access? For 2006-2007, particular staff are working with the parents/guardians in their classes to pilot the system. If your student is in one of the pilot classes, you have probably been contacted by that teacher. If you are interested in trying the system out but don't have a student in one of the pilot classes, feel free to contact Brian Miller at the district office (221-6100). He may be able to set up access for you depending on which school your student attends. Students may also contact Mr. Miller about an account.
