We operate much like a community college, allowing students to choose courses of interest, from one to many. Parents partner with us in many ways: supporting the student with homework, volunteering in the classroom or on site, co-op teaching with other parents, or homeschooling one or many subjects. |
Each student has his or her own distinct needs and interests. We do our best to create an individualized plan for each student to meet their educational goals. |
Our student population is quite varied as are the choices that each family makes. Some choose to homeschool primarily and access WIA for just a class or two, such as P.E. or Art. Other families access WIA on a nearly full time basis with students attending classes four days a week. In this situation, the parents partner with us in a support role, helping with homework. |
