Not Feeling Well? Symptoms


Check symptoms to know when a student can come to school and when they need to stay home.

  • Fever—100.4° or higher
  • Chills
  • New loss of taste or smell 
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • fatigue
  • headache
  • sore throat
  • cough
  • congestion or runny nose
  • nausea or vomiting
  • diarrhea
If your student has experienced any COVID symptoms*, please be aware that to return to school we require negative test results, AND being 24-hours symptom-free. We now can provide rapid antigen testing, with 15-minute results, through the school.

Without negative test results, symptoms require a 10-day quarantine. This is in accordance with guidance from Island County Public Health and the WA Dept. of Health.

*Symptoms include one or more of the following: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
