Communication

South Whidbey School District Communication Channels

South Whidbey School District is dedicated to communicating with our school families.  The primary method of communication is through email. All staff email addresses can be found online in our staff directory. Please make sure that you provide the most current and best email address to your school secretary to make sure you are kept in the loop.

Our website at
www.sw.wednet.edu, contains everything from school menus, staff emails, calendars, job opportunities and much much more.  If you have any questions or difficulties finding the information you need, please contact your school secretary or the district office at 360-221-6808 ext. 2245 /kmacarro@sw.wednet.edu.

Our website and mobile app are the primary sources for information and communication from the district and schools.

The South Whidbey School District emails a district wide newsletter to all SWSD families four times a year (August, November, March and June). Additionally, the Annual Report is mailed to all South Whidbey residents annually in January. Both are methods to keep apprised of the great things happening at South Whidbey.

New to our district is our SWSD Navigator that is emailed out to our district families twice a month to provide notice of upcoming Board meetings, what's new and five things they might not know.  A reminder of the email is pushed to the app, texted, noted on Facebook and Twitter.

Like us on Facebook or Twitter! The SWSD Facebook and Twitter page is updated regularly with the achievements, events and robo notices of the district.

Every school has their own method of sending out daily or weekly bulletins. The South Whidbey High School has a weekly bulletin. Whereas the South Whidbey Elementary School has a daily Podcast.  All bulletins are linked on one page which can be accessed here on on a button on our App.

This Communications tab on the SWSD website has links to multiple tools used to communicate with our families. For  example, all SWSD school board policies, agendas and minutes are found on
BoardDocs.

As a service to our South Whidbey Community,
Peachjar is where you can find school and community flyers which are first emailed to our district families.

Pick Up Patrol
is a method for families of students grades K-6 to communicate transportation changes to the school.  Please note that all changes MUST be made by noon to ensure the transportation change is confirmed.

Please alert us at
Safe Schools if you or someone or something you know is unsafe at school.

Skyward
is your place for student school management and grades.  Please update your school secretary with your current email and telephone number so that you will receive School Messenger Robo message alerts that are sent out via phone, email, SMS and posted on our websites and Facebook page
