  • Hello and Welcome to South Whidbey Elementary School (North Campus) - Home of the Orcas!

I often think about how to describe our school to visitors and potential students and their parents.  I would start by saying we are a part of the community.  We have partnerships with Good Cheer Thrift Stores and Food Bank, Goosefoot a non-profit focused on enhancing the south end of the island, and WAIF, which focuses on the well being of animals.  Through our partnership students have learned the value of being leaders in the community, giving back and supporting others, and how to be more self sufficient.  For example, through our partnerships with the district, Good Cheer, Goosefoot and other community resources we have our School Farm.  The farm serves as a living science classroom to all of our students as well as providing fresh food for our cafeteria.  Through the work of Cary Peterson we became the first School Farm in the country authorized to sell produce to Chartwells, our food service provider, which is then served to students in our cafetria.

We also partner with Whidbey Telecom.  Whidbey Telecom has provided funding and support of our work developing our students into leaders the leaders of the future.  We appreciate their continued commitment to developing our Future Leaders, Thinkers and Dreamers.

South Whidbey Elementary is a great school with amazing students and staff.  Stop by anytime to check out what we are doing, visit the farm or inquire about the school.
