Boys and Girls Club

Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish / Coupeville Unit  provides before and after school childcare at SWES!   If you are interested in learning more about the program or to register your child, please contact Heidi Roberts at hroberts@bgcsc.org  - you can learn more about their programs here: https://bgcsc.org/clubs/coupeville-club/  Please note that the school district is not involved in the implementation / management of this program, so all questions need to be directed to Heidi.  We are providing space in our school for the program, which is fully run and managed by the Boys and Girls Club. 

Citizens Against Domestic & Sexual Abuse

CADA can help day or night, year round​. If you or somone you know is a survivor of domestic, sexual violence, or stalking, CADA can help. We provide 24/7 advocacy and support services to all residents (regardless of age, gender, sexuality) of Island County, WA 365 days a year.​ Our advocates provide free confidential trauma informed advocatcey, support and resources

SOUTH WHIDBEY HEARTS & HAMMERS

Neighbors helping neighbors on Whidbey Island Since 1994. Hearts & Hammers is a local non-profit organization that brings together a community of local volunteers for Workday on the first Saturday in May, to help repair and rehabilitate homes of those who are physically or financially unable to do the work. From its humble beginning in 1994, the Hearts & Hammers’ Workday has grown to engage more than 350 volunteers working on 25-35 homes throughout the South Whidbey all on one day! QUESTIONS? Helping Hands of South Whidbey

Helping Hand provides immediate financial assistance to residents of South Whidbey when basic services of life and well-being are in danger of being discontinued, and makes referrals for longer-term assistance. Contact Us (360) 221-7777

Island County Housing Assistance

Housing Assistance provides a variety of services, programs and resources to assist residents of Island County with their housing needs, including a variety of grant and loan programs to assist renters, homebuyers, homeowners and affordable housing developers. 

Readiness to Learn

Readiness To Learn is a nonprofit organization based in Langley at the South Whidbey Community Center that has supported students and families since 1998, working to create opportunities for everyone to thrive. Through our Family Resource Center and integrated school-based programs, we help reduce barriers to education while providing family support and enrichment opportunities in one welcoming place. www.ReadinessToLearn.org

South Whidbey CARES Coalition

The South Whidbey CARES Coalition's primary goal is to reduce underage use of alcohol and marijuana, improve academic performance, and reduce juvenile crime.

The coalition is a partnership of parents, youth, educators, health professionals, law enforcement,
faith leaders and local government.

The coalition implements evidence-based strategies, leverages local resources and evaluates the impact of
selected programs.

South Whidbey Community Center

The South Whidbey Community Center provides an environment that strengthens community by connecting people through education, recreation, wellness and social opportunities. We help create a connected community with balanced and flexible programs that meet the community's evolving needs and where collaborating with community partners, individuals and businesses is of utmost importance.

South Whidbey School Farms

The South Whidbey School Farms Program’s mission is to serve the development of South Whidbey School District students by providing an educational setting where students engage in farming and learn about the connections between food, health, community, and the environment.

South Whidbey Schools Foundation

Building relationships between our community and schools to invest in learning experiences that inspire students in our ever-changing world. It is the GOAL of the South Whidbey Schools Foundation to provide funding for projects outside the scope of the school district budget which foster educational excellence and innovative process for the benefit of students in the South Whidbey School District.

Whidbey Community Foundation

As Whidbey’s only Island-wide community foundation, we introduce caring people to local causes that inspire them. We support Island nonprofits through philanthropy, training and capacity-building. We help donors make meaningful contributions and thoughtful long-term investments in Whidbey’s health and vitality.

Whidbey Island Nourishes

Since 2007, Whidbey Island Nourishes has been an important part of the robust network of organizations supporting those in need on South Whidbey. From a small group of friends distributing 40 self-made sandwiches every week, to a team of volunteers 100-strong working to prep, assemble, and deliver over 2500 meals each month.

Outdoor Classroom

Linking water, land, wildlife, & people through education, research, & restoration. 

Since the opening of the Outdoor Classroom in 1997, Whidbey Watershed Stewards has presented a steady program of K-5th grade environmental lessons in spring and fall sessions, making this the core of our education programs.
