ALL VOLUNTEER COACHES and any volunteers that may be left alone with students - including overnight field trips, must ALSO complete fingerprinting. See SWSD Policy 5005. Please make an appointment with the Island County Sheriff  at (360)321-5113 ext 7310 (Tuesday - Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm)(other locations linked here)See more information linked here. 

You may return these forms IN PERSON WITH YOUR PHOTO ID to any of the building secretaries or to Kristy Macarro at the District Office at 5520 Maxwelton Rd, Langley, WA 98260.

Please remember to check in at the main office every time you volunteer.  We look forward to having you as a volunteer.

 

Volunteer Driver of Students

For some events/fieldtrips, we appreciate Volunteer Drivers to help shuttle the students to the planned events/fieldtrips. If you are interested in being a Volunteer Driver, we require another set of forms linked here to be completed and turned in to your students' school office secretary with a copy of your driver's license, current auto liability insurance and auto registration for the car you plan to drive. Volunteer Drivers require principal approval. If you are considering driving, please complete the forms and turn in for clearance as soon as possible.

This year, South Whidbey Elementary K-6 is proud to partner with the South Whidbey Schools Foundation in support of the school volunteer program. South Whidbey Elementary K-6 will be hosting Volunteer Interest Meetings to learn how to sign-up to volunteer, ask questions about current volunteer opportunities and meet some SWES staff! Volunteer Interest Meetings will be held at the South Whidbey Elementary School North Campus in the Community Room on Friday, April 28 at 9:15am and Tuesday, May 9 at 5:00pm. All volunteers with the South Whidbey School District must complete a SWSD volunteer application, Washington State Patrol form and present a current Washington State Driver's License.
