Superintendent Search – Finalist Candidates

The South Whidbey Board of Directors has announced its three finalists for the next Superintendent of Schools following a special board meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The finalists will participate in a series of interview activities with students, staff, the Board, and community members in the district on January 15, 2025. 

“We had six excellent candidates who exemplified the desired characteristics identified through input from staff, students, and community members,” said South Whidbey School Board Chair Brook Willeford. “Our three finalists are proven leaders who have a history of excellence in supporting student and staff growth, demonstrable equity leadership, experience building and growing partnerships in the community, and innovative and fiscally responsible administration. We’re excited to bring them into the community for the finalist stage, leading up to the board’s selection of the next superintendent of the South Whidbey School District.”

The school community is invited to meet the candidates in person or via Zoom at the Community Forum on Wednesday, January 15, from 6:00 to 8:25pm at the South Whidbey Elementary School Board Room, 5380 Maxwelton Road, Langley or via Zoom webinar:
